Ron Cao — Operations & Business Systems Analyst

Digitizing warehouse operations for zero missed orders

As a Logistics Analyst at a B2B fulfillment operation shipping to Best Buy, Costco, Walmart and Target, I led the move from paper-based to digital warehouse operations. I designed WarehouseFlow, a web fulfillment platform built with AI coding tools, and it ran in daily production from April to August 2026.

Featured work

Before
Handwritten and dense paper orders, no way to see progress, and missed orders could easily happen.
What I built
A platform that imported orders from the company WMS, moved each one through pick, scan-checked packing and outbound, showed managers where everything stood, and emailed my manager and me a nightly summary and a weekly report.
What changed
Zero missed orders from the April launch to August 2026, including Prime Day 2026.

Two smaller automations, same approach

Two other places where I replaced manual work with a tool.

UiPath

Order-document printing

Problem.
Printing order documents took 3–4 office staff a full day, and the floor waited for paperwork before starting.
What I did.
Set up a UiPath automation for the print run.
Result.
One person oversaw the automated run, and workers no longer waited for documents.

Google Sheets + Apps Script

Returns scanning

Problem.
Processing a return meant switching screens and typing records by hand.
What I did.
Built a one-screen tool: scan the tracking number and SKU, and the script checks the return against the SOP.
Result.
Workers confirmed each return with a single key, and the record was logged automatically.
